QUESTION: Dear Doc
This is regarding my husband who is a patient of Alopecia totalis since two years. He has lost all his body hair including eyelashes and eyebrows.
My query is that can hair transplant be done for him only on his head and eyebrows?
He is not too keen on wigs so i was surfing the net on more information if he can go for hair transplant or any other cosmetic surgery to restore hi appearance.
It would be great if you could give us your opinion on this and advice us.

ANSWER: Hi Mariam,
In order to do a hair transplant we need a donor site. With Alopecia Totalis, there is no donor so unfortunately it is impossible to do surgery.
