This is a 35 yo AMAB non-binary patient experiencing typical “male pattern” thinning. Given their gender identity, this type of hair loss had been especially uncomfortable for them. Fortunately, they were on gender-affirming hormone medications which was doing a good job at preventing further hair loss, however they were seeking a hairline that was more feminized, more in line with their gender identity.
We performed a 2229 graft FUE surgery aimed not only at filling in the recessions, but also at rounding out and feminizing the hairline to give the face a more typically feminine appearance. They returned a year later with great results and said “I’m extremely happy with the results! I’ve been talking with a couple of my friends who are interested in the same process and am recommending your services each time.”
